London, 20 June 2022: Newton Investment Management Group (“Newton”), part of BNY Mellon Investment Management, has today announced that it has appointed Christopher Nichols FIA as Head of Client Solutions.

In this newly created role, Christopher will help to build out Newton’s solutions business, which takes advantage of the thematic, fundamental, quantitative and environmental, social and governance insights of Newton’s multi-dimensional research capabilities. Additionally, Christopher will initiate and contribute to strategic relationships with key institutional clients. He will report to Julian Lyne, Chief Commercial Officer.

Christopher brings more than two decades of experience in the investment management sector, principally in the development and commercialisation of investment solutions for institutional and wholesale clients. He began his career at Standard Life in 1991 and joins Newton having spent 17 years at Aberdeen Standard Investments (“ASI” now Abrdn) where he was most recently Global Head of Multi-Asset Investment Specialists. Christopher was responsible for leading a team of investment professionals focused on the design, development and commercialisation of ASI’s multi-asset client offering.
