Newton Investment Management, part of BNY Mellon Investment Management, today announces the appointment of Louise Kernohan as UK equities portfolio manager. Louise will manage the BNY Mellon UK Equity and the BNY Mellon UK Opportunities Funds, alongside Simon Nichols and Ben Smith.
Louise has over 15 years of experience managing active equity portfolios and joins Newton from Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI), where she was an investment director of UK equities. She managed the ASI UK Equity and ASI UK Responsible Funds, as well as co-managed the Dunedin Income Growth Investment Trust. Prior to her role at ASI, Louise was senior investment manager in the pan-European equity team at Aberdeen Asset Management.
