Douglas is a member of Newton’s multi-asset research team. In his current role, he is a principal designer of the quantitative models used in the global asset allocation and commodity strategies, and he manages a team that continues to research enhancements to these strategies. He and his team have deployed improvements to the expected return framework, risk modeling, and portfolio construction across the global macro strategies.

Douglas joined Newton in September 2021, following the integration of Mellon Investments Corporation’s equity and multi-asset capabilities into the Newton Investment Management Group. Before joining Newton, Douglas was a senior research analyst and research analyst at Mellon Investments Corporation and Mellon Capital (both BNY Mellon group companies).

Douglas began his investment career in 2004. He has spent his entire career with BNY Mellon.

Douglas has a BS in Mathematics and a BA in Finance from the University of Iowa. He received his CFA1 designation in 2011 and is a member of the CFA Institute.
